Propagation season is coming to a close Room in the cold frame for 3 more trays. 15000 vuttings stuck. Boxwoods, arborvitae’s, Chamaecyparis, junipers, willows three more varieties of willow to go, one more arborvitae variety to go, one hydrangea variety to root, 2 more junipers to stick, and elderberry… then I’m done for the season. Nothing fancy here. Salvaged greenhouse flat trays, a little sand with a little peat mixed in and in some a little perlite, a bit of rooting hormone and a cold frame constructed from salvaged patio door panels ontop of cinder blocks with sides wrapped in with salvaged greenhouse plastic. Nothing fancy, nothing expensive This system has served me well for the last 25 years.

Propagation season well under way. Over 10,000 cuttings in the cold frame thus far.
