Don’t lay around like Miko the dog and just expect your ProVia Door to take care of itself! Everyone has a preferred method they like to take care of their door. When it comes to my front door, I like to wait until pollen season Is just about over with. I’ll give the door a good rinse with the hose. Very moderate pressure to not damage any of the clear coat finish. This removes any grit off the door from the winter season and any dust or pollen before trying to clean the door in an attempt to not damage the finish when cleaning . The next day I usually like to follow up and wait till either the evening when it’s shady or in the morning when it’s shady (depending on where you live), I’ll clean the fiberglass and the aluminum trim coil with pledge, first making sure there’s no remaining grit or dirt as to not rub that into the finish. Then I like to finish it off by cleaning the glass with a microfiber towel and glass cleaner and then I also hit the threshold. I do this about twice a year to help maintain the finish and keep that door looking brand new every year. Chaney Windows and Doors, your Gateway to a better home.
