It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of our dear colleague, friend, and employee Ben Blackwood, who passed away on 2/9/26.

Ben was a vital part of our team, known for his knowledge and dedication to Pope’s Plant Farm and Pope’s Garden Centers. Ben’s contributions to our retail Markets were significant, and he will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of working with him and those who were able to experience his talent with plants, trees, and shrubs. His expertise in landscaping designs can be seen throughout the local area.

Mike Pope has always said “Ben has taught me everything I know about trees and shrubs.”

Our hearts are heavy with the loss of Ben, and we ask that you keep his family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
