Just a friendly HVAC reminder. Some of you may be experiencing temps way colder than normal. In many cases these temps are what we call beyond design conditions. What that means is if the unit is properly sized it will run non-stop to maintain an indoor temp of 70°.
With these cold temps, bypass the setback programming where the temp turns down at night. Put your thermostat on hold temp. It’s struggling enough to hold the temp. Don’t ask it to try and recover too. If your unit is running non-stop and you’re only achieving temps in the mid 60’s, your unit may be running fine. It’s just being pushed beyond design. Make sure your filter is clean and wait it out.
