Thought we would share this. It's so true
🌶️ The Waiting Game

You plant the seeds.
You water.
You fertilize.
You check on them before work.
You check on them after work.
You check on them before bed.

Then you stare at them wondering why they haven’t grown three feet overnight. 😂

As a small business owner we have other small businesses that we utilize for a lot of our favorites. One of those businesses is Prairie Feather Designs. This is the only beard oil Jason will use. It's such great quality and smells great. Something new we have been using is the Magnesium lotion. When you are aching from planting 470 seedlings this stuff really works. Jason puts it on his old knees at night and in the morning. Check them out at the next event and follow their page.

Come and see us tomorrow from 5-7 at the Tuscola Farmers Market at the Tuscola Comminity Building.

💚 WOW... THANK YOU, EFFINGHAM! 💚

What an incredible Opening Day for the 2026 Effingham Farmers Market season!

We are overwhelmed by the support shown by our community on Saturday morning. The turnout was absolutely amazing and, without a doubt, one of the largest crowds we've seen in years. Many of our vendors were completely sold out by 10 AM—or even earlier! 🥕🍓🧁

To every customer who came out to shop, visit with vendors, enjoy the entertainment, and support local businesses, THANK YOU. Your support means more than you know.

What many people don't see are the countless hours spent behind the scenes planning, organizing, recruiting vendors, coordinating entertainment, designing layouts, solving challenges, and working to make the Effingham Farmers Market the very best it can be. Seeing so many smiling faces and such an incredible turnout makes all of that hard work worthwhile.

Saturday's success wasn't just a win for the Effingham Farmers Market—it was a win for every farmer, baker, maker, artist, small business owner, and customer who believes in supporting local. We are incredibly grateful and excited to see our community come together in such a big way.

As wonderful as Opening Day was, we're just getting started! We hope you'll continue to make the Effingham Farmers Market part of your Saturday morning routine each week through October 31st.

Join us every Saturday from 8 AM–12 PM on the Old Courthouse Lawn in Downtown Effingham and help us continue building something special for our community.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making Opening Day such a tremendous success. We cannot wait to see what the rest of the season brings! 🌻🛍️💚

Today we finally transplanted the last of our seedlings. This season's planting has been exhausting. We both hurt and are sore but are done. Rachel began this planting season with an ER visit, MRI with a torn meniscus 😳 from helping plant. She’s off crutches and on the mend. Jason also has knee that's bothering him. Planting 470 seedling is not all rainbows and unicorns for 2 people. These were the last 5 seedlings to be planted. The majority has been done for a couple of weeks. We have 470 pepper plants with 150 different varieties from bell pepper to dragons breath. We have plants at 2 different grow sites. We have planted 7 raised bed planters, 105 grow bags, and the rest directly in the ground. PSK is going to have its biggest grow yet! Now we just watch them grow.
