The mission of Lavender Home Services is to give people more time for the things they love. We do this by providing a range of high quality, meticulously detailed services both inside and outside your home while also supporting the well-being of LGBTQ+ people through living wage opportunities and skill building. The color Lavender has symbolized LGBTQ+ empowerment, resistance, and celebration for

over a century. Lavender Home Services is owned and operated by Greenville native, Ethan Johnstone. An LGBTQ+ person and leader in the community, he founded a nonprofit called Pride Link and co-founded Upstate, SC's first LGBTQ+ community center, the Q***r Wellness Center.

Hard conversations were had, lots of emotions were processed, several gut checks took place and...we are sad to say that we have made the decision to close. Overall, this is what is most aligned with the needs, mental health, and general well being of Lavender's owner (hi, it's me Ethan ☺️).

What a ride this last year and a half has been! What an honor it's been to have our clients welcome us into their homes and trust us to take care of them. What an inspiration (and a blast!) it's been to work side by side with such an incredible team of q***r and trans folks.

Thank you for your support. Thank you for your trust. Thank you for investing in this q***r-owned small business. Clients, team members past and present, community, friends, family...thank you all.

In the next few days we'll be sharing about a way you can continue to pour into the q***r community and support local business...so stay tuned!

What started as a one person team () has turned into 13 (THIRTEEN!) humans — some of whom are pictured here as we celebrated a team member’s birthday at last month.
