Today, we responded to a service call regarding a flooded basement caused by a malfunctioning sump pump. Upon conducting a thorough inspection, we discovered that the previous contractor had incorrectly installed the pump adjacent to the sump basin, resulting in the float becoming stuck. Furthermore, the piping was not properly supported, causing significant head pressure from water weight and back pitching the line. Our team not only rectified the previous contractor's installation but also addressed the original piping installation from when the house was built.
