Hi everyone, I’m Marlee 🌿🌻🍅🫑🌶️

After a couple pop-up stands last summer and launching this page on March 1st, I figured it was about time I introduced myself.

I grew up in Coal City and always dreamed of living out in the country. Funny enough… as a kid, I absolutely despised helping my mom with yard work and gardening.

Somewhere along the way, that changed. I started to appreciate the hard work that goes into growing your own food—and just how much happiness a simple bouquet of flowers can bring. Over the last few years, I’ve truly fallen in love with it all… gardening, flower farming, and even canning my own food.

My husband Joe grew up gardening and canning as well, and he’s the one behind all carpentry work that helps bring this vision to life.

This little farm stand is more than just flowers and produce to me—it’s something we’ve poured our hearts into, and something I hope to pass down to my kids someday… even if they don’t love it right away like I didn’t 🤍

Hank & Birdee’s is named after our kids, which makes this dream even more special to me.

I can’t wait to share fresh flowers, homegrown goods, and a little bit of country life with you all.
