Early this morning, Cesar Roque, AIA, a principal and Architect in our firm, passed away due to a lengthy illness. He accomplished so much in his short life. Those accomplishments are to be admired, and should lay a roadmap for those that yearn to attain a license to practice architecture and become a pillar of leadership in our community. Cesar, you will be missed! May God bless you, your loved ones, and your friends who mourn your passing.

On December 7th, The American Institute of Architects - Lower Rio Grande Valley awarded ROFA Architects, Inc. the 2023 Design Merit Award. The award was given for the design of Treasure Hills Elementary School - Renovations and Additions. Our client was Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District. We would like to thank our client, the design awards committee/jury, and our staff for making this award possible.

This project was transformative for the District and their flagship elementary school as it brought the campus into the 21 Century with a new identity, technology, security, student capacity, parking and vehicular circulation.

We especially want to thank the teachers, parents and students of THE for their patience and understanding while we (over a 3 year period) demolished and reassemble this campus.

At their recent Annual Convention in Fort Worth, The Texas Society of Architects (TxA) nominated and approved the 2019 TxA Board of Directors; of which our own Michael Allex, AIA was presented as Vice President of Professional Development. It has been more than a decade since a Rio Grande Valley architect has held a position on the TxA Executive Board. A proud accomplishment for Mike and our firm.
