Well this job was definitely at the top of my list for what I can tackle by myself but after this customers home got hit by a tree it needed A LOT of love. Being the farm home multiple generations of his family grew up in the sentimental attachment meant the most. The walnut tree that took it out did not care though.. Didn’t get a good before pictures of the front porch roof collapsed but that made the beginning of demo a real pain. Lots of time, bit of blood, but it’s done and it feels good to say that

Had a tear out of an old porch someone previously built.. they convinced the owner could save a little money using white wood for framing and sealing it. Needless to say that only lasted a couple years in the Florida weather. I came in and ripped everything out. Replaced all the framing with pressure treated lumber and re-used the deck board to help the customer save some money.

Need to get back on social media I’m just horrible with before an after pictures. Here’s a quick 22’x 8’ deck that was installed at a customers tiny home a couple weeks ago! All pressure treated framing, simpson galvanized hangers and hardware and trex boards with all countersunk deck screws.
