Hi everyone!

Thank you for your support on Thursday at the McFarland Farmers Market! I have a stand set up outside my home this weekend for those who can't make it to the market. 3615 Rankin Rd. Cash, Venmo, Zelle or PayPal. Open today until sunset or rain. Then tomorrow 10am until sunset.

I also have some free stuff at the curb and will be adding more throughout the weekend.

A little more details about my garden removal. I was able to transplant alot of plants in to pots and move them to friends and family houses. This will allow me to still get some decent harvests of my favorite items such as the heirloom tomatoes. So keep a look out for those soon. However, alot of things such as the corn, okra, melons and winter squash could not be saved.

I am shifting to focus more on canned items. New this week is dill pickles, spicy dill pickles, pickled zucchini, spicy zucchini, brussel sprouts, asparagus and Mexican carrots. New lemonade flavors. More to come soon! If you have any suggestions please let me know.

Carter and I are doing alright. This is really difficult for us. We loved our garden. It not only provided income but it was our happy space. For next season, I'll be looking to grow elsewhere. Thank you all for your continued support!!!

Samantha Zeilenga of Safe Haven Gardens and Chris Gilbertson of Raspberry Ridge Gardens are pleased to announce an exciting new collaboration that intends to offer a greater diversity of fruit, veg, plants, herbs and value-added products to this wonderful community!

Sam and Chris are local small-scale growers in the April Hills neighborhood who share a passion for gardening and permaculture. They are committed to growing high-quality, all-natural produce, focusing on heirloom and unique varieties that may be challenging to source elsewhere. Please look for their future posts as to what is available or message them directly if you have requests or questions.

In addition to participating in the McFarland Farmers Market on Thursdays from 2-6pm, where Sam will kick things off with an heirloom tomato plant sale, they will offer a convenient self-serve roadside stand just off of Siggelkow Rd. The stand will be open on Friday afternoons through Sundays at sunset, weather permitting, beginning around the end of May. Furthermore, direct orders can be placed via Facebook or email. Payment options include cash, Venmo or Zelle.

Sam and Chris thank the McFarland community for its support and they look forward to seeing you this season!
