Little garden photo dump.

Some really nice multisown beets coming on.

Beautiful mustard greens.

Bulb fennel moving along.

Leaf lettuce is impeccable.

Microgreens.

And a whole load more!

Btw I am currently sold out of chicken eggs.

I do have duck and quail eggs here. $7 and $5 respectively. Anyone can snag those any day until Sunday. Other than that I’ll just say I’m closed for the week. I’m going to deep clean the cooler, and refocus and will hit everyone with the CSA veg boxes for Saturday. Let me know which day you want this week folks.! I don’t care if you change it every week. Just lemme know! lol Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday I’ll be out helping my buddy. But can leave your box in the cooler for you.

Normal egg subscriber days. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

Hours 10am-8pm.

If anyone has questions please message me!

So for the first weeks CSA veg box we did:

-elderberry flowers hoping folks would experiment with teas!
- two different types of peas.
- kohlrabi
- quail eggs
- turnips
- parsley
- Chinese chives
- kale
- spring onions

Im probably forgetting something but it was a nice variety. The large family 20 week customers will see the quail eggs and other high end items in their box. The more you invest into the farm via CSA boxes and subscriptions the bigger the return. It’s your farm, I’m just running it as best I can and as friendly to the environment as possible!

Looking forward to next week. Maybe get your dehydrators ready? I may lean to more teas!

One of my favorite teas for relaxation is calendula flowers, catnip buds and golden chamomile. The combo of the three is astounding. And catnip isn’t just for cats!

And if you’re bored, google the benefits and uses of nettles. Info everyone should know and an herb everyone should have access to. I may just have some to offer in coming boxes!

Thanks to everyone supporting this. It’s a true blessing to serve you.

These will

I am currently looking for a semi permanent to permanent location to consolidate the chickens and ducks, my alternative living style, and an entirely new large scale set of gardens.

I am looking for a 1 to 2 acre lease. Preferably 2 acres.
Flat would be preferred but not a must.
Access via truck.
At most partly wooded - ideally less than a 1/3rd of the space.
Water and electrical connection until I can install other off grid means to supply both.

The goal would be to eventually install two 50x16 gothic style greenhouses, one 50x20 chicken and duck enclosure, a half acre to acre of gardens outside of the greenhouses, and an area for my off grid alternative living style.

****This would need to be a 15 to 30 year lease, written and signed. ***** I need long term stability and security that I do not have now. The longer the lease the better.

Benefit to the land owner?

My skills would be available to you as often as possible. My skills range from 30 years of landscaping, turf maintenance, w**d and pest management, basic concrete skills, roofing skills, asphalt skills, basic electrical skills, general land management, various permaculture and regenerative principals, forestry work, basic mechanical labor on tractors and other small equipment and much much more.

Property maintenance or assistance with work needing done around your property.
Full access to the gardens with a specific build suited for your family, planted to your specs.
Access to the poultry and eggs within reason.
Security around the property.
Improving the land overall.

If anyone is interested in a mutually beneficial arrangement and would like to discuss details please send me a message.

Open to discussing all options and coming to a fair agreement. Cash options for the lease can also be up for discussion.

If anyone wants to come help out tomorrow at the Boston location and learn a bit I have a ton of little garden and related tasks that need done.

I get folks asking all the time about volunteering in exchange for education. I’m always happy to do that. I don’t often need help but tomorrow or even Sunday if anyone is free for about 4 hours.

Probably hook you up with a few goodies from the gardens as well, like I always do.

Send me a message. Probably 830am is when I’ll start.

Okay for my CSA veg box subscribers. Having limited fridge space AND the desire to deliver you something super fresh…..

I will be here Saturday Sunday Monday and Tuesday to fill your CSA box. You simply pick the day and give me a rough timeframe and your share will be waiting for you.

I’d rather not have your order sit in the fridge and with minted space I’d like to get it from my fridge to yours as quickly as possible!

Again, you can choose from Saturday Sunday Monday or Tuesday. 10am- 3pm (after 3 I am gone to the chickens in rostraver)

Super excited to get the first week out to yall!

You will have two plastic totes per CSA share with your name on it. Keep them circulating. If I don’t have any totes with your name on it- I won’t fill a new tote.

If you’ll be away or cant make it let me know in advance and I’ll do my best to get two shares to you the following week.

I absolutely won’t be here Wednesday-Friday. I’m obligated elsewhere those days. So don’t miss the four day period to pick up your share.

Please if you’re a CSA veg subscriber send a message and pick your day and time!

Kohlrabi are in the cooler. $4 bunches. If you need some ideas for turnips, radish, kohlrabi and even beets. Try roasting them. Especially the larger ones that can be a bit tougher. Super yummy.

This roasted kohlrabi recipe, made with garlic and Parmesan cheese, is an easy, delicious vegetarian side dish; it's perfect for the air fryer or oven.
