Sometimes window cleaning takes more than soap and a squeegee.
Take a close look at this exterior window we cleaned in Collin County, TX.
Along with algae and heavy grime, the glass was covered with those stubborn little black dots known as artillery fungus.
Artillery fungus can develop in damp, decaying organic material—especially wood mulch—and literally launch tiny sticky spore masses onto nearby surfaces. Once they attach to glass, they can be surprisingly difficult to remove with normal window cleaning tools.
That’s when experience and the right equipment matter.
For this window, we used:
• Professional window cleaning solution to lubricate the glass and loosen buildup
• A professionally designed window-cleaning scraper to carefully remove stubborn material from appropriate glass surfaces
• Extra-fine 0000 steel wool to work through grime that ordinary scrubbing wouldn’t remove
• Professional squeegee techniques to finish the glass clean and clear
The result is a window that looks dramatically different from where we started.
