Date night at the Little Theatre of Mechanicsburg to see Sweeney Todd. A slightly darker evening than our usual plant-shop chaos, but the set already looks so good. 🖤

Hopefully the plants can behave themselves for a few hours without supervision.

A little plant victory update because apparently everyone decided to cooperate at once. 🥹🌿

My Hoya krohniana silver splash finally bloomed, and the tiny fuzzy flowers smell so good. I have been checking on this little cluster constantly, so seeing it fully open feels ridiculously exciting.

And my Thai Constellation is finally putting out a new leaf after her repot. She has spent the last few months being a little salty about the entire situation, but it looks like she may have decided to forgive me. 😂

There is something so satisfying about waiting patiently for a plant to do its thing and then suddenly being rewarded with a bloom or a brand-new leaf.

Which would you be more excited about: the tiny Hoya flowers or the incoming Thai Constellation leaf? ✨

A very accurate look at Opal Leaf Co. lately:

Plants are taking over the shelves.
The 3D printer is almost always running.
The plants and the printer are currently fighting over the ideal humidity level.
A greenhouse cover is on the way, so hopefully everyone can coexist peacefully soon. 😂

I keep telling myself I am “just testing one more color combination.”
And somehow every flat surface in the apartment has become a temporary plant shop workspace.

There are lots of new plants, accessories, and little plant-related creations in progress right now. I am also getting ready to stock my first local retail shelf at The Bewitching Moon, which feels both very exciting and slightly surreal.

Opal Leaf Co. is still a tiny business growing out of my apartment, but it is slowly becoming the cozy little plant shop I have been imagining in my head.

What would you be most excited to see more of: new plants, the new 3D-printed accessories, or the occasional glimpse of small-business chaos?

Our supervisor Frankie was supposed to be overseeing today’s plant care operations, but unfortunately he has been caught sleeping on the job. 😴🌿

No watering completed. No inventory checked. No quality-control inspections performed. Just one very cozy nap beside the grow shelves.

Management is considering disciplinary action, but he is extremely cute and appears to have no regrets. So realistically, he will probably keep his position.

Plant parenthood is bringing your work plant home for a little repotting and buckling it into the back seat like it has somewhere important to be.

Was the seatbelt necessary? Maybe not.

But after a few spilled plants in the past, I may have learned my lesson. There is probably still soil back there somewhere as evidence.

She needed fresh soil, a little extra attention, and apparently a safer ride home. Very normal plant person behavior. 🌿

Anyway, she made it home safely and only judged my driving a little.

I’ve been working on these little greenhouse shelves, complete with tiny potted plants, because apparently even my plant accessories need plant accessories.
