Free trees for Medford residents in Medford hot spots!

Free Trees!

TreesMedford and Mystic River Watershed Association are partnering to reduce summer heat by offering free bare root, 3- to 6-foot tall trees to plant in the hottest areas of Medford. If you are interested in a shade tree for your yard in these areas, please sign up on our form.

Trees will be available in the fall 2023 or spring 2024. TreesMedford can teach you to plant the tree and care for it.

If you are unable to plant the tree yourself, we will plant the tree for you. Trees need water in the driest months for two years.

If you rent please let your landlord know about this offer.

Calling all young artists!

Join us at the Medford Public Library Maker Space on 4/29 or 5/2!

We need your creativity to help beautify our road median! We’re inviting local children to join us in painting stepping stones that will be used to border a new pollinator garden on Governors Ave.

Here’s what you need to know:

🧒🏽Open to ages 8 and up

📆 Saturday, April 29, 10am-12pm and Tuesday, May 2, 4pm-6pm

🎨 We’ll provide all the supplies you need, including the stepping stones, paints, and brushes.

🐞 You can let your imagination run wild and paint whatever you like on your stone. Just make sure it’s appropriate for public display!

🌱 Once you’re finished, we’ll place your painted stone in the garden where everyone can see it.

If you’re interested in helping out, please register! Spots are limited.
