Oversees the Shipping Department and assigned staff. Creates budget and weekly production plans while monitoring the daily operation. Manages workflow based on priority deliveries and maintains communication with multiple departments to ensure efficient and safe delivery of product. Evaluates cost saving measures and continuous improvement activities. Monitors quality control of plant material prior to loading. Creates and implements systems to improve accuracy of counts and staging. Ensures proper and efficient loading to minimize breakage and ensure customer satisfaction. Trains loading dock staff in all shipping functions. Reduces customer credits associated with shipping procedures and coordinates trailer pick-ups and drop offs. Safe valid driving license required.

Conducts an annual review of the Potting Plan and maintains regular communication among all departments regarding the operation. Adjusts for new items, liner purchases, and propagation shortages. Monitors and sets up soil mix. Attends weekly production meetings to report on supplies and equipment shortages. Oversees the setup of the potting shed for efficient usage. Maintains knowledge of truck arrivals and materials needed for the operation. Oversees the daily shut down and cleanup of the potting shed. Plans the inclement weather seasonal shutdown. Safe valid driving license is required.

- Applies chemicals per direction of the manager with appropriate personal protective equipment. Posts and removes pesticide signage. Completes EPA documentation for the state and posts internally. Performs regular maintenance on sprayers. Coordinates necessary activity with Irrigation department. Monitors post herbicide application irrigation. Monitors crops for IPM needs. Conducts inventory on chemicals and personal protection equipment. Maintains proper housekeeping standards in material storage areas and vehicles. Reports equipment concerns to manager. Checks emergency shower locations monthly to ensure functionality. Safe valid driving license is required.

Manages the cutting, prepping, and sticking operations in accordance with the schedule and technical specifications of the propagation plan. Monitors the Liner Inventory. Prepares production reports. Trains and manages personnel in specific work responsibilities. Participates in weekly production meetings. Communicates with maintenance department any mechanical concerns. Reviews new innovations and remains current on new crop techniques. Assists other departments as needed

Assists the production manager with the ex*****on of production goals by developing efficient work plans and supervising crew leaders and production staff. Manages, in collaboration with all departments, the labor and equipment to accomplish goals in a safe and efficient manner. Assist with IPM/Irrigation department and Shipping department as needed. Safe valid driving license is required.
