The “orange peel” look to the surface of this garage floor coating is due to: (i) its full flake broadcast (of the customer’s selected flake blend), and (ii) our addition of anti-skid aggregate into the second clear polyaspartic top coat. You heard that right…the SECOND coat. We finish all our garage floor coatings with 2 coats or our 100%-solids clear polyaspartic. Our competitors? A single coat of a “less-than-100%-solids” polyaspartic. Yet another reason our coating systems are second-to-none.

Thinking of getting a garage floor coating? ASK THE INSTALLER THESE TWO QUESTIONS: (1) “Do you FULLY warrant against all moisture-related issues (like high hydrostatic pressure and moisture v***r transmission)? and (2) Do you FULLY warrant against hot tire transfer (aka “plasticizer migration”)? Then, ask to see the installers “Warranty Exclusions” to confirm their answer.

If one or both is excluded from the warranty, find another installer.

A garage floor coating should be a long-term investment, not an impulse decision.

You should feel comfortable taking time to compare options, reviewing the full warranty in writing, asking for technical data sheets, and learning how the system handles moisture.

A reputable contractor will encourage this, not pressure you.

Garage floor coatings can look great on Day 1. But will they stand up to decades of use? Before signing with any installer, ASK TO SEE THEIR “WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS” section of the contract. DON’T SIGN IF THERE ARE EXCLUSIONS TO: (i) moisture-related issues (including arbitrary MVER thresholds), or (ii) tire staining, aka plasticizer migration. If you’re not fully warranted against ALL moisture-related issues and staining, find another installer.
