Entering week 2 at our Centennial Lake kitchen renovation project. Demo, rough plumbing, electrical, and hvac are complete. We’re installing 24” x 48” large format porcelain slab tile, and as part of our standard we’re using the Schluter Ditra system. Building a coffered ceiling to our standard starts with 5/8 Sheetrock, installing a ladder framing detail using pocket screws and heavy duty fasteners rated for over 260 lbs. All of the vertical finished elevation seams are mitered, and one piece so there are no seams. We are redefining builder grade one project at a time.
