Many of these are spot on! Especially #13 😂 I must admit though for #6 I have more IOD - Iron Orchid Designs transfers and inlays over stencils (although I do have a drawer just for those too!)

HOW TO SUCCESSFULLY IDENTIFY A FURNITURE ARTIST.
Although honestly… it’s not difficult.

1.We are a happy bunch.

2. Paint on their hands and completely unbothered by it.

3. A brush soaking in water since 2024.

4. Several pieces “waiting to be finished.”

5. Saying “trust the process” while internally panicking.

6. A cupboard full of stencils they “definitely needed.”

7. A deep love of old things… and I don’t mean Marty.

8. An inability to throw anything away “just in case.”

9. The only person at the party desperate to discuss paint colours.

10. They have openly admitted to dipping their paintbrush in their tea and still drinking it. Worse still… I once drank the paint water. I was extra thirsty.

11. Running to the loo because they needed a p*e three hours ago, but were too hyper-focused and in their happy place to notice.

12. Not particularly wealthy… but ridiculously happy.

13. Photographing random textures, doors, tiles, and p*eling walls “for inspiration”… which will absolutely never be used later.

14. Buying the same supplies twice because they forgot they already bought them.

15. Family and loved ones quietly fearing for their creative relative’s faculties.

16. Everything they own has paint on it. Even the “good clothes.”Who here has turned up to a special occasion wearing accidental Eau de Capri pink Chalk Paint?

How do I misplace so many of these IOD - Iron Orchid Designs transfer stick tools? This is my 3rd one in two days 😅 Must be with my missing socks...

Our little carrots from the IOD - Iron Orchid Designs spring basket contest were also made from the Spring Garden Mould.
I placed 2 moulded carrots back to back and glued when wet with Titebond quick and thick. I also added some marks along the sides like the front. You can hide the line where they meet after it dries with more air dry clay. I used IOD air dry clay.
After 1 day I poked a hole at the top to make room to glue the greenery. These will take 2 days to fully dry.
Paint after they are dry, I used orange paint and antiquing wax. The greenery was glued in with Titebond quick and thick. I purchased the greenery from a plant at The Restore!
The jar is a glass jar from mushrooms (🤢 hubby ate them lol) painted with chalk paint and used paint inlay from Spring Melody. Small letter stamps were used to spell Carrot Patch and twine glued around the top. It was fun to do 😁

A little background on my cabbage basket if you would like to make one 😁
-I formed 4 cabbage leaves, using almost 1 block of IOD air dry clay and the spring garden mould, around a bowl while wet then glued to itself where it overlapped and painted to help not get cracks.
-the handle is part of a beaded wreath from the dollar tree. I glued it in place after the basket dried (I gave it 2 days to fully dry) with Titebond quick and thick and hot glue. Gave that a day to dry, then covered the attachment with more air dry clay and a little mould on the inside of the basket.
-painted inside the basket with paint and sea salt texture to cover the places where the moulds met. The outside was painted with a dark green then a light green wash followed by white wax. The handle was stained with Waverly antiquing wax.
-the eggs are faux eggs with the Spring Melody Paint inlay placed in clear coat to transfer.
I was thinking of being in a spring garden picking lavender and carrying it in my basket with my pretty eggs.
