Fixing more drainage issues. This time we were making a pasture more user friendly. A precious drainage ditch was in this field making it impossible to mow or for the horses to enjoy that side of the pasture. We installed 300 feet of 4" tile and 60 feet of 6" trunk line. Backfill, regrade, and tie into existing drainage structures and we are out in a day. Owners are going to plant horse friendly grass.

Some times a little extra work can save thousands. We put drainage in this yard earlier this year and there was very little topsoil existing which would make it very difficult to get grass to grow. But now that the drainage issues were fixed it was time to bring in topsoil. Local supply houses wanted $30+ a yard plus delivery to bring in topsoil. Well I had a customer with extra topsoil and all I had to do was haul it from one job to the other. Was a little extra work to get the roots and rocks worked up and out but we were able to regrade the yard and spread topsoil giving a much needed refresh to the yard. We will let the dirt dry out and the hit it with a Harley Rake then plant grass. Customers have never had grass in 25 years of ownership but will have no problem in the future.

This one is close to home. It always brings me so much happiness when family trusts me enough to compete a major project for them. Matt Pettry and Stephanie Pettry brought us in to pour them a driveway and sidewalks in their forever home they moved into last year. Now the kids have somewhere to ride their bikes and guests have a nice and clean path to the front door. Friday we graded and formed, Saturday we poured, Sunday we saw cut. Home owners are taking care of restoration.

Added a small retaining wall out of high format kodah block in Fon Du Lac color to keep the concrete turn around pad from losing its stone and undermining due to some little chipmunk friends. With this project we used glue to stabilize the wall rather than geogrid as the concrete was existing and we could not place the geogrid under the pad far enough.
