🎂 51 today! 🎂

I’m taking the weekend off and spending it the way every travel baseball mom dreams of… sitting in a lawn chair for approximately 37 hours while watching my favorite #27 do his thing. ⚾️😂

The shop will be CLOSED this weekend while I celebrate another trip around the sun and soak up some baseball with Jaxy.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support Dawn’s Custom Tees. Because of you, I get to do what I love every day.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have birthday cake to eat and baseball to watch. ❤️⚾️🎉

This one was a BIG one. 💪

120 shirts.A very tight deadline.A customer I'd never worked with before.And honestly? A little leap of faith on both sides.

What I didn't know was that Shawna had been quietly following my business page for quite some time before reaching out. One day a message popped into my inbox about a large order for Livingston County Department of Social Services, and just like that we were off and running.

As a small business owner, taking on a large rush order for someone you've never met can be a little nerve-wracking, especially when you purchase materials and get production rolling before a payment ever arrives. But sometimes you trust your gut, put your head down, and get to work.

I'm happy to say everything was completed and delivered on time, and I'm incredibly grateful that Shauna and Livingston County DSS for trusted me with their order.

Thank you for the opportunity, the trust, and for supporting a small local business. I truly appreciate it more than you know. ❤️

Confession time...

I've owned Dawn's Custom Tees for years, made thousands of shirts, hoodies, hats, jackets, senior signs, team gear, and probably embroidered enough apparel to clothe half of Genesee County 😂

Cold. Windy as hell. Memorial Day weekend chaos. And my shop currently looks like a Carhartt warehouse exploded in it 😂🤎

Boxes everywhere, sweatshirts piled to the ceiling, machines running nonstop, and me over here trying to finish up this giant order for a local farm while surviving on caffeine and stubbornness.

Honestly though… I haven’t done a good photo dump in a while and my camera roll is full of shop chaos, recent orders, behind-the-scenes mess, and random moments lately sooo here we are 📸🔥

OK… yesterday was a disaster 😅

What should’ve been a simple sweatshirt somehow turned into me ruining the SAME sleeve not once… but TWICE. And let me tell you, nothing humbles you faster than realizing you literally sewed the sleeve into itself while hooping embroidery 🤦‍♀️

So here I am on attempt number THREE, staring at this machine like it personally betrayed me, praying this one comes out perfect 😂

Running a small business is honestly one giant learning experience. Some days everything flows perfectly, and other days you waste time, supplies, patience, and a tiny piece of your sanity over something that should’ve been “easy.”

But that’s the reality behind the scenes. I’m human. I make mistakes daily. Sometimes they’re costly, sometimes they’re just aggravating and time-consuming… but every single mistake teaches me something.

Now everybody cross your fingers for sweatshirt #3 because I genuinely cannot emotionally handle a fourth attempt

There’s just something about the Pavilion Babe Ruth League Opening Day Parade that never gets old… but this year hit a little different.

Bittersweet in the truest sense.
It’s Jaxy’s second year not being out there in that parade line, glove in hand, ready for another season… but there he is hanging my sponsorship sign 💜💜💜💜💜💜

I guess that’s the part no one really prepares you for—the quiet shift when those seasons come and go, and you’re no longer right in the middle of it.

But on the flip side—seeing every single team geared up this year, knowing I had a hand in outfitting this entire league… that filled my heart in a whole different way. ❤️

From cheering on my own player… to showing up for all of yours.
That’s a pretty special full-circle moment.

Here’s to a great season, lots of wins, and even more memories. ⚾️💜🥎💛
