🚨‼️Memphis friends, if you have kids or dogs please walk your yards daily!! With all of the wet weather I have found at least two toxic mushrooms growing in my yard in the last two days. I live in the city and these were growing under a Crepe Myrtle in a partially shaded part of my yard.

Amanita flavorubens (yellow) (mildly toxic) and Inocybe s.l. (Far Right) (very toxic).

UT/TSU Extension will present our next Canning College July 8-9, 2026 from 6:00-8:00pm! This class will be held at Agricenter International – 7777 Walnut Grove Rd, Building C, Memphis, TN 38120.

This two-day workshop will cover the basics of water-bath and pressure canning. Registration is $50.00/per person. Please see flyer for details.

🍅🫑 We’re baaaaack!!! 🎉🎉
The 2026 gardening season is almost upon us and I will be starting seeds over the next couple of weeks. Do any of my customers have any specific requests of varieties they would like to see available this year? Maybe it’s something you’ve purchased in previous years that you really enjoyed??

Do any of my local Memphis customers need fresh lemon grass? You will need to cut it yourself, so make sure to bring good gloves and wear long sleeves. The leaves are like razor blades and will give you the worst cuts!! It’s going to freeze tomorrow night so the lemon grass needs to be cut today or tomorrow. There are a bunch of big stalks left. By appointment only.

Thank you to Daniel with Ordaz lawn & landscape service for doing an amazing job (as always) on my garden fence and gravel. My new garden looks amazing and I can’t wait to see it in full bloom next year.
My new beds are by Vego Garden in the color Terracotta.

2025 Plant Sale and Garden Update:

To all of my loyal customers, I wanted to provide you with an update for the 2025 gardening season. Unfortunately, I will not be offering plants for sale this year. I had hand surgery in January and was unable to do the manual labor required to start my seeds. I will only be closed for this gardening season usual next year.

My garden also sustained damage from the weight of the snow this winter, so my garden will not be on the garden tour this year. For those that visit my garden during the Experience Memphis Gardens Garden Walk, I should be back up and running next year.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.
