My heart is heavy. I was born on Maui. Ry and I were married on Maui. A place with a rich history and endless beauty. Maui has given countless memories to so many of us.

We are so far from Maui by distance but we can still help.

Shout out to Eagan Trader Joe's on Cliff Road.

Random conversation with a lovely gal who was working there, through our quick chat I shared with her that I spent a lot of time in hospitals these days while my mom navigates the twists and turns of stage IV cancer. She asked when I was going to see my mom next and I replied that tomorrow is chemo day.

Without hesitation she walked over to the fresh flowers and handed me a beautiful bouquet and said, "Please tell your mom we are rooting for her."

Something so simple... brought such warmth to my heart. Providing me with the reminder that the small things in life mean the most.
