Visiting the macadamia farm was a direct result of becoming friends via Instagram with the General manager and his lovely wife !

Near their home was the tree nursery for the macadamia ! About 30,000 plants 🪴
*
We could see the different stages of plant growth and the grafting tables to strengthen the plants which I found highly interesting!
*
And a beautiful drive to one of the irrigation dams for a sundowner ~ a drink watching the sun go down 🌅 !

😥Sad news regarding our nest of eggs that these 2 Mamas were sitting on. They never hatched … they just kept sitting well past 35 days. They rolled 2 bad eggs out … which we buried. It went on too long and last night we shoveled out the remaining 14 eggs which were all rotten even though they were fertilized initially.
So what went wrong ???
Could it be too hot outside ?
Everything went just as it had the last two times but those hatched right on schedule.

No ducklings 🐥 for us this time around. The poor Mamas put up a fight and we had to block off the area with rocks . They keep going back and hang out nearby. 😥
