Attached is a flyer for our March Bushcraft class in Merced. This class covers four modules out of a series of classes teaching basic survival skills with an emphasis on Prepared Bushcraft.

Through this series of modules, you will learn skills to practice or hone the skills you already have.

This class will cover water filtration, fire starting, shelter and mindset. We will discuss modern methods and techniques, but will have a greater focus on primitive skills. You never know when you will be out in the woods unintentionally unprepared!

The Scottish highland games and Celtic celebration is happening this weekend at the fairgrounds in Angels Camp. Forrest and I go every year and have been volunteering for the last 5 or 6 years. I have a team of Scouts that have been helping out for the last few years. Come on by and check us out, we'll be all over the fairgrounds. Hope to see you there!

This event is coming up next weekend. It is a Saturday only event and is free! This event keeps our history alive of life was like when our country was young and people survived off the land. It is fun for adults, but an awesome experience for the young.

There will be a trader tent with primitive supplies to the era, hides and furs, a blacksmith, primitive fire starting, tomahawk throwing, rifle range, archery and a black powder rifle range. There will even be a cannon at the event. There will be lunch and beverages for sale to tame the hunger.

Tell a friend and share the news! There is raffle tickets for sale at $5 each or 5 for $20. The prize is a choice of a .50 caliber Hawken black powder rifle or a meat package from Richwood Meat. I have tickets if anyone can't attend, but would like to get some tickets in. You need not be present to win.

Before and after. This is a concept that I came up with for converting my pantry to a more efficient design. I had the opportunity to implement the design on a remodel, rendering the pantry fully functional without having to dig for anything. The cabinet shop said never again, but I know they would. I will make everything myself for the conversion of my cabinet.
