My name is Christopher Havens, and I am blessed to live in beautiful Meredith, New Hampshire with my wife and two dogs (Ozzy and Poppy). I have been working as a carpenter in New England for over a decade and have multiple specializations. Wet paint! Do not touch. Cool rot repair from this week. This clients gutter had been leaking which led to serious rot in the base of both columns. Once getting through the old paint you could remove the wood with your fingers. Okay maybe not that easy but you can see how black they were in the second picture. Luckily there was no sag and the new pieces slipped right in. Oh and that gutter also isn’t an issue anymore! 😉

A few photos of a recent project I just wrapped up bringing some life into this clients kitchen. Part of the project consisted of adding a custom laundry cabinet to house their ironing board and things. Turned out to be the largest shaker cabinet door I have built to date! This was Stage one of the process. Looking forward for number 2.

Quick project. Client wanted to extend their railing over to the staircase using scrap wood they had minus the 4x4. Quick trip to the shop and we had a pretty close match. Wound up putting a railing down the steps but of course forgot to take a final picture.
