Reformation Tile and Stone

🔥 OLD SCHOOL CRAFTSMANSHIP. OLD STATE SALOON. 🔥

Some tile jobs are about covering floors and walls. Others are about creating something with character, personality, and a story to tell.

This one? It practically speaks for itself. 🍻

We had the pleasure of doing some specialty tile work for Mark over at the now-famous Old State Saloon, and this project was an absolute blast!

⚒️ Classic white subway tile. Clean, timeless, and beautifully contrasted with dark grout and bold black trim.

⚒️ Traditional penny tile. Thousands of tiny tiles coming together to create that unmistakable vintage saloon atmosphere.

⚒️ Custom penny tile lettering. Now THIS is where the fun begins! There's something especially satisfying about turning individual black and white penny tiles into actual lettering. No printed designs, no shortcuts. Just patience, precision, and a little artistic ingenuity. The kind of craftsmanship you don't see every day!

And when those letters spell out OLD STATE SALOON, well, you know you're working on something a little different!

We especially enjoyed working with Mark. He's a great guy, a terrific customer, and certainly no stranger to making headlines! 😎

It's always a pleasure working with folks who appreciate quality craftsmanship and aren't afraid to give a place its own distinctive character.

At RTS Remodel, we don't believe tile work should be ordinary.

Whether it's a custom mosaic, intricate lettering, a vintage-inspired commercial space, or a complete kitchen or bathroom transformation, we bring the same attention to detail to every project.

Because the difference between simply laying tile and creating something worth looking at is craftsmanship.

Got a project that deserves something beyond ordinary? Let's build something worth talking about.

🔥 SMALL SPACE. BIG CHARACTER. PRECISION IN EVERY DETAIL. 🔥

Who says a little laundry room can't make a BIG statement?

At RTS Remodel LLC, we love projects that step outside the ordinary, and this one was right up our alley!

This beautiful terracotta-colored specialty tile features an intricate geometric pattern that brings warmth, character, and a touch of Old World craftsmanship to an otherwise modest space.

But here's where the real craftsmanship comes in...

These aren't your everyday square tiles!

With their interlocking shapes, numerous angles, and unforgiving layout requirements, installations like this demand patience, careful planning, and a whole lot of attention to detail. Every joint matters. Every line matters. And when those patterns come together just right, the finished product speaks for itself.

We also carried the tile up into a clean, complementary baseboard, giving the entire installation a cohesive, finished appearance.

👏 A special thank-you to our wonderful customer!

One of the genuine pleasures of this business is meeting good people along the way. This homeowner was an absolute delight to work with, showing us exceptional kindness and hospitality throughout the project. That sort of treatment never goes unnoticed, and we are grateful for the opportunity to bring their vision to life!

At RTS Remodel, we believe the quality of the craftsmanship should match the quality of the people who invite us into their homes.

Whether it's a complete kitchen or bathroom remodel, custom shower, specialty backsplash, or a small floor with a complicated design, we bring the same dedication to every project.

🔨 Ordinary spaces deserve extraordinary craftsmanship.

🔥 YOUR KITCHEN DOESN’T NEED A DEMOLITION DERBY.
Sometimes the biggest transformation comes from changing two things:

New granite or quartz countertops + a killer custom backsplash.

Fresh surfaces, precision tile work, and suddenly the entire kitchen looks like it got a promotion. 😎

✨ THE DETAILS SHOULD TALK TO EACH OTHER.

Anybody can install a backsplash.
But a great remodel isn't just a collection of nice materials thrown into the same room. The details should connect.

Take a closer look at this one. 👀

The homeowners already had a beautiful wood fireplace mantel with a gold/brass band running through it. So when we designed the backsplash, we carried that same idea across the kitchen.
We took brass Schluter JOLLY, modified it by cutting down the anchoring leg, then installed it horizontally with the wider finished face exposed forward.

The result?

A CLEAN BRASS BAND RUNNING RIGHT THROUGH THE TILE. 🔥
It's subtle enough that you might not immediately realize why it looks so good.
Now go find that fireplace mantel in the other pictures.
See that gold band?
Yep.
That's the point. 😎
The brass line in the backsplash echoes the detail in the mantel and visually ties two completely different areas of the room together.
That's cohesive design.
Not everything in a remodel needs to match. In fact, we'd rather it didn't. But when materials, colors and small architectural details quietly reference one another, the entire space starts feeling intentional instead of assembled.
And there's nowhere to hide with a detail like this.
That brass line has to stay dead level. Tile courses have to be planned around it. Cuts around outlets and transitions need to be clean.
Because a perfectly straight piece of metal running across your backsplash has one unfortunate personality trait:
It is an absolute snitch. 😂
Get sloppy and it'll tell everybody.

We're also especially grateful for the homeowners on this project. who were wonderful to work with. They were very hospitable, and made this one genuinely enjoyable to work on. That always makes handing over the finished project a little sweeter.

🍂 WINTER IS COMING — YOUR DECORATIVE CONCRETE KNOWS IT.
That stamped concrete looked fantastic when it was new. But after years of sun, dirt, irrigation, weather and Idaho freeze/thaw cycles, the color starts fading and the protection starts disappearing.
Before winter sets in, let RTS Remodel bring it back to life.
We professionally clean and reseal decorative and stamped concrete, helping restore that rich, finished appearance while adding a protective barrier before the cold weather arrives.
✔ Deep cleaning of dirt, grime & buildup
✔ Professional concrete sealer application
✔ Revives faded color and enhances the original finish
✔ Helps reduce moisture pe*******on
✔ Added protection through freeze/thaw weather
✔ Patios • Walkways • Porches • Decorative Driveways
And the difference can be dramatic. Take a look at these photos — this isn't new concrete. It's existing decorative concrete cleaned, refreshed and sealed.

The top 10 custom shower tile patterns for 2026 keep pointing to one move: tile all the way to the ceiling.

It makes a master bath feel taller. It also hides the drywall seam where tile usually stops, which is the spot that dates a shower fastest. Yes, you buy more tile and pay for more labor. In most master baths, that trade is worth it.

We plan the drain, valve wall, and tile size before anything goes up, so the ceiling line lands where it should.

If you've tiled to the ceiling, did you run the same tile up or switch to a different one above the showerhead?

🔥 SOMETIMES A REMODEL REQUIRES A LITTLE… VIOLENCE. 🔨💨

And apparently enough dust to alter the local weather pattern.

This bathroom started with a massive flagstone shower and integrated stone tub—a whole lot of stone, mortar, weight, and determination standing between us and the finished product.

The demolition video in this post may officially contain more dust than I’ve ever created on an interior job. 😂

But THAT is what makes the finished transformation so satisfying.

We tore out the old flagstone shower and stone tub and completely rebuilt the space into a cleaner, brighter and far more functional bathroom:

🔨 Full demolition of the existing flagstone shower and integrated stone tub
🧱 New brick wall built from scratch
🚿 Completely rebuilt and tiled shower
🪨 Custom tiled wall finished with a granite cap
🛁 Built-in tiled seating with granite top
📏 Floated the entire existing rock floor with sand mix, bringing that rough, uneven stone surface into a flat, level plane suitable for the new flooring
🪵 New LVP flooring installed over the newly leveled surface
📐 Careful layout, transitions, waterproofing, trim and finish work
✨ And one VERY different bathroom when it was all over.

That floor is actually one of my favorite parts of this job—not because it's flashy, but because good remodeling is often about the work you'll never see when we're finished.

You don't simply throw LVP over an irregular rock floor and hope for the best.

The entire surface had to be floated and corrected first so the finished flooring had the flat, solid substrate it needed.

That's the difference between covering something up and actually remodeling it.

The pretty finished pictures are great.

But swipe through the whole photo pack.

Look at what we started with.
Look at the demolition.
Look at the construction and prep.
Look at the details.

Then look at the finished bathroom.

THAT'S THE JOB.

Anybody can show you a beauty shot.

We like showing you what it took to get there.

At RTS Remodel, we handle the entire transformation—from the ugly, dusty, heavy part all the way through substrate preparation, waterproofing, tile, flooring, stone and finish work.

tile warpage.
