Remember the walnut kitchen with open shelving from one of our new builds? {Reminder photo added here} It quickly became one of our most-loved projects, and we were excited to see that same look inspire another special space.

Working with a wonderful local customer, this project started with a vision, a simple layout sketched on paper, and owners who were ready to do the work to make it happen. They worked diligently to reconfigure the entire space, creating a layout that flows better, functions more efficiently, and feels more welcoming for future guests. We love collaborating with dreamers and makers who can see what a space could become and are willing to put in the effort to bring that vision to life.

What makes this project even more meaningful is the history behind it. This property has been a family rental through the generations, and now it’s beginning a new chapter with a thoughtful update to a historic space.

The walnut cabinets are custom made to order in Utah, making them a truly special part of the project. There’s something rewarding about incorporating a high-quality, American-made product that is built specifically for the space. Delivered directly to the jobsite and unboxed on-site, these cabinets immediately brought warmth and character to the renovation.

From the black hardware and mixed wood tones to the custom backsplash inspired by a photo of the original brick chimney, every detail was carefully considered. The owners took their vision and brought it to life, creating a beautiful balance between honoring the property's history and introducing fresh, modern design.

We love working with dreamers and makers, and this project is a perfect example of what can happen when creativity, craftsmanship, and a lot of hard work come together.

Some of the most compelling spaces aren’t designed all at once—they’re discovered, slowly, through layers of texture, history, and intention.

As a designer, I’m always drawn to pieces that tell a story. Not just how something looks, but where it’s been… who’s held it, learned from it, built something because of it.

These early 1900s real estate books have become one of my favorite elements in my office. The patina of the covers, the softened edges, the handwritten notes tucked into margins—they bring a depth that no brand-new object ever could. They ground the space. They add soul.

Design isn’t about filling a room—it’s about curating it. Mixing the refined with the worn, the polished with the personal. Letting history sit alongside modern life in a way that feels effortless and lived-in.

These books are more than décor—they’re a reminder that great spaces, like great stories, are layered over time.

Create spaces that feel collected, not completed. 🤍

Let’s take a tour! BIG things happening at this OLD farmhouse! We have been so excited about changing the layout of this home. Our plans have changed so many times as we open up walls and work on coming up with the most functional + beautiful space. We’re making an addition, have moved the main bath into a once awkward hallway which raises the ceiling of the room and increases the size. We are removing walls, adding support beams, and harvesting the hardwood floors to keep as much warm charm in the largest space. And.. it just gets better! Take a look 👀 at the kitchen + dining room! Demo is nearly done on the main level and now, onto implementing all we have planned for this space.

Demo is officially underway at The Dermer House, and there’s something incredibly special about peeling back the layers of a home with history. As we open up the walls and strip everything down to those solid, original studs, we’re reminded just how well this home was built so many years ago.

Yes — it looks chaotic. It has to. Demo always gets worse before it gets better. Drywall, lath, and plaster are coming down fast so we can make room for the big, beautiful vision ahead. This is the stage no one talks about, but it’s where everything truly begins.

Right now, we’re mapping out every detail that will define the home’s future:

🚿 Plumbing essentials
🪟 Final window + door locations
🗂️ Cabinet configurations

Adding real estate agent to my career felt less like a choice and more like the natural next chapter of who I’ve always been. I began my professional journey as a nurse, supporting people through some of the biggest and most emotional moments of their lives. That experience taught me compassion, patience, and the importance of truly being there for others.

With my later work in design, floor plan drawings, material sourcing, and construction, I learned how to bring spaces to life and create environments that feel meaningful and intentional. Stepping into real estate allows me to blend both sides of my story—my heart for people and my love for homes.

Now, I get to guide clients through one of life’s biggest milestones: finding a place where their future happens.
It’s not just about houses for me. It’s about purpose, connection, and helping someone find the space that feels like theirs.
