Monkey tail bloom progression. I have it on the West side of my porch receiving late afternoon sun.

Native to Bolivia, it's popular as a houseplant for hanging baskets due to its cascading growth, producing bright red, tubular flowers in spring and summer. It requires bright, indirect light indoors, well-draining soil, and infrequent watering, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings, especially in winter when it goes dormant.
