These guys are fantastic! They have serviced our AC units for 5 years now. They are honest as the day is long. They do great work at an extremely reasonable price. It's hard to find service people that are knowledgeable, trustworthy and do business the old fashioned way.....with integrity and pride. I would never go anywhere else for my heating and air conditioning work.

I had a new replacement unit installed on my house by Lewis & Sons on the 1st of May. The first thing I was most impressed about is that Jeff Lewis himself answered the phone and took my calls. After he gave me the price for my 3.5 ton 16 seer dual stage compressor rooftop heat pump with an ecobee Pro 5 thermostat and a sensor I was absolutely floored. I called several companies including the big names like Parker and Sons and I just could not believe the savings I was going to get by using Lewis & Sons. I had even become skeptical about maybe she wasn't doing something that the other companies were not. So I called and asked the questions. NOPE!!!!! I was getting the exact same thing in regards to service being performed that the other companies were offering. When it came time to have my unit installed I was floored again to find out that the man in the name of the company and the man who answered the phone was also the man who showed up to install my unit. Jeff was very professional and straightforward. There were no bells and whistles that he tried to chime in front of me. He told me he would give me a good price and he did. He told me when he would show up to be there to install the unit and he was there. Even told me how long it would take to install the unit and actually did it faster. Replacing your air conditioner is a lot of money and if I had to do it again I would use Lewis and Sons again and I highly recommend anybody in the market for a new air conditioning give this company a call so that you can be awed just like I was. Btw, I have had that unit installed for a month-and-a-half now and I can literally keep my house 6 degrees cooler at 2 to $3 less a day and it works perfectly.

This type of damage may impair operation of the air conditioning unit resulting in:

Reduced air flow through coils
Higher refrigerant temperature
Lost performance
Lost reliability
Lost Efficiency

Hail strikes the soft cooling fins on the condenser coil of your air conditioner and deforms the cooling fins. An air conditioner can tolerate a few deformed fins, but when more than just a few fins are damaged by hail, the air conditioner can no longer operate efficiently. In many cases, the unit will fail completely after a few months of working too hard.

If your system was damaged by the recent hail storm in Arizona, then you should have it checked immediately. The hail can damage the coil fins making it run inefficiently.

Your Homeowners Ins. Policy should pay for the replacement of the system if it has enough damage to it. Some system that are newer, may have the coil replaced, again, the Insurance should cover it.

Do not let your insurance mislead you into not pressing a claim on you air conditioner just due to fact that it still “cools”. If your cooling unit was dented by hail and the fins of your coil were bent, you will never have the same cooling you had before and your insurance company knows this. There is no way to put an exact dollar amount on what it will cost you, but over years of operation, it could be many hundreds of wasted energy dollars. Insist your insurance company treat this damage the same way they are treating your roof, replace it or repair it.
