We preach about the importance of yearly maintenance and this door is a perfect example. The door showed no damage but had a film of mold and oxidation, which destroyed the top layer of varnish. For this maintenance, we did not touch the stain much at all. Notice how much brighter the stain color is after a good cleaning, mold treatment, and fresh coat of varnish.

Don't miss your annual maintenance folks. You get blind to the slow dulling of your door and before you realize it, it needs a full refinishing again. Maintenance is drastically cheaper! Once that top coat fails, it can go quickly. Text us folk! LOL! 504-616-3693

PSA: Is it time for maintenance? Please don't wait for your door to begin to show signs of the varnish to break down. Maintenance is inexpensive and easy. Waiting and having to strip it down is no fun at all, plus it is completely unnecessary!

Treat your door as you would your face. The stain is the moisturizer and the varnish is your UV sunscreen. Just as you have to re-apply sunscreen, you have to re-apply your varnish annually. A good cleaning to remove hard water and mold, light sanding, and a fresh coat of varnish annually will keep your door looking beautiful forever.

Update on someone using our business name: it does seem to be a real Iranian man who lives in Baton Rouge. This seems to be their thing of going into a new market and doing this. They've already done this in Atlanta, San Diego, and DC.

I'm guessing Mr. Rassam Rad (who goes by Brady) follows my page because he has now changed his website from NOLA Door Refinishing to New Orleans Door Refinishing.

I don't worry about competition at all. There are a lot of weathered doors in the area, and most of our business is word-of-mouth. So I'm not worried about it slowing our business at all. But I am worried about them taking advantage of people and not providing the same level of service as ours. I would hate for our reputation to be tainted by someone looking for a quick buck. Someone not willing to build his own business the honest way.

This whole thing is silly. Why not just start your business the right way? It doesn't make any sense.

PSA: Someone has created a fake site with a similar name to ours. But all over their site, they are using our legal business name. So when you google our name, their fake website also comes up with a local number. A foreign person answers the phone. Please, please, please do not fall victim to this scam.

Our real website comes up first, so hopefully people will realize. But they have quite a few fake reviews using our name and saying they had same-day service. I'm 100% they are all fake. You will see when you click on each person.

We are living in scary times! The devil is lurking around every corner! Our actual number is 504-616-3693, and in Metairie. I might have an accent but it is just southern, not foreign. Unless I drink too much. LOL!

I don't know how to tackle this issue.
