Lots of storm damage this last week. It's important to have your trees evaluated for health. The tree that fell on the truck had root rot and with the right amount of wind, every root snapped and the tree just fell over. No uprooted root ball structure, just the stump. The tree on the house was compromised by a new development going in behind the tree where they had recently excavated the entire area around the tree to grade for the yard softening the soil and reducing the holding power of the root structure. Sometimes it's just a storm that damages or destroys trees but sometimes there are outside factors that compromise the health of the tree and the storm is just the last straw.
