While some stores are still repairing damage from the flood, many will be open this weekend for the Music Festival, and Canal Days will still happen October 2-4. Hope to see you in Metamora soon!

Floodwaters damaged much of the canal town just as a $14.4 million restoration project offered hope for its future.

Be sure to visit my kids bookstore during Metamora Music Festival. They will have a pop up tent in front of the store as they continue recovering from the recent flooding.

Thank you to everyone that has donated time and money. It is greatly appreciated! It is hard to comprehend how much damage several inches of dirty flood water can cause. There is still a long road ahead for our small community. But seeing so much support and so many hard working volunteers is inspiring. We will continue to work together to build back even better! I have watched with pride and awe as my kids (including their partners) have worked together to build this amazing book store.
My heart aches for them as so much of the work they’ve done and inventory they have purchased has been lost to flood waters.

We are grateful for family and friends and all that was NOT lost. We are grateful for a community that pulls together to support and encourage each other.

This week they let go of what was, and begin to rebuild. Any help you can give as they begin this new chapter will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for being a part of our story.
