Today we visited one of the most important Renaissance palaces in , Museo Di Palazzo Grimani. This hidden gem for lovers of architecture, frescoes, and decorative arts is an inspiring reminder of how ornamentation and spatial design can evoke emotion, wonder, and permanence.

The interiors are especially known for their richly ornamented ceilings, illusionistic frescoes, stucco work, and classical references inspired by ancient Roman domus. The Palazzo is a great example of early museum-style display culture.

The soft vegetal frescoes, muted mineral pigments, faded greens, terracotta undertones, and gilded detailing are incredibly aligned with the layered, textural elegance I gravitate toward in interiors today.

Once a year, I join at their annual convention in Puerto Rico. As a licensed interior designer and proud member of the Colegio de Diseñadores y Decoradores de Interiores de Puerto Rico (CODDI), this event offers a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow designers, discover new products, and attend educational seminars led by some of the top voices in our industry.

Today, I’m sharing a small glimpse of some of the vendors we had the opportunity to interact with — exchanging ideas, asking questions, and exploring the latest in design, materials, and innovation.

After months of deep studying, drafting floor plans, and truly diving into the details of what it means to design kitchens and bathrooms with intention and expertise, I’m proud to share that I am now officially a Certified Kitchen & Bath Designer (CKBD) through the renowned (National Kitchen & Bath Association).

I don’t take this achievement lightly. This certification represents years of learning, discipline, professional growth, and an ongoing commitment to my craft.

For those who may not know, I also graduated as an Interior Designer and Decorator from SJSID in Puerto Rico. Each milestone along this journey (along with many others not listed here) has helped shape the way I approach design today: with greater knowledge, deeper understanding, and even more purpose.

I’m incredibly passionate about this profession and committed to continuing to learn, evolve, and refine my expertise across the many trades and disciplines that influence the spaces we create.

The more I learn, the more intentional I become, not only in the technical side of design, but in understanding how people live, move through their homes, gather, recharge, and experience their everyday spaces.

Looking forward to bringing this concept design from our clients’ pool table area to life. Curved panels are currently in production and will soon receive their custom finish.

There’s something incredibly rewarding about watching a design evolve, from simple lines on a screen to a fully realized, tangible space.

If your powder room feels “safe”… you’re missing the opportunity.

This is the one room where restraint can step aside. Where texture, lighting, and form can do something unexpected—
without overwhelming the rest of the home.

A little risk here goes a long way. Because this isn’t just a powder room, it is a “wow-room”!

I realized recently that I haven’t shared enough about this project — and it truly deserves a moment.

We’ve been working with this wonderful client since 2022, gradually shaping different areas of their home over the years. What started with the kitchen eventually expanded into the home office, TV room, and several other spaces, each one thoughtfully layered into the overall vision.

Our most recent phase focused on the fireplace area. We opened a dividing wall that once separated the billiard space from what is now a more formal lounge, allowing both areas to visually and spatially communicate with each other. The goal was to create a natural flow between the two spaces while giving the lounge its own identity.

As I’ve mentioned before, this is a water-vapor fireplace, which provides the perfect amount of visual warmth — not necessarily physical warmth (after all, we are in Miami) — but the atmosphere it creates is exactly what the space needed.

I still can’t get over how beautiful this area turned out, especially when, during the day, the tiles installed in the fireplace take on a very special shine.

There are a few more custom details currently in the works that will complete the space, and I’ll be sharing those soon. And for those who saw the billiard area on today’s stories — that reveal is coming next.

This project has been evolving with us for a few years now, and I’m excited to finally share more of it little by little.

KBIS 2026: The Future of Kitchen and Bath Design
From tactile surfaces to invisible technology, this year’s show confirmed what many of us are seeing in design: interaction matters as much as aesthetics. Design is becoming more human-centered — not just beautiful. Which of these trends would you bring into your home?

Snapshots of Paris, seen through my lens.
From design discoveries at Maison & Objet and Paris Déco Off to the timeless beauty of historic landmarks like Versailles, both my muse and my heart returned home full.

Travel has a unique way of reigniting creativity—inviting us to slow down, stay present, and truly savor the textures, stories, and moments that surround us. This journey was a reminder of why inspiration often begins by simply observing the world with intention.

This season was all about materiality and quiet depth.
Layered textures, natural woods, dyed fibers, and tactile wallcoverings—“des matières qui se sentent autant qu’elles se voient”.

Across Paris, design leaned toward atmosphere and craftsmanship, with thoughtful presentations—“dont le nouvel”Atelier Paris de Schumacher, blending story, texture, and place.

A refined, grounded direction—rich in texture, intention, and atmosphere.
“C’est tout pour Paris. À très bientôt”.

Designing a kitchen is far more complex than it appears.
Behind the beautiful finishes, cohesive colors, and shiny appliances lies the most important layer of all: the human factor. This is where a truly well-executed kitchen begins—by understanding how the client lives, moves, and multitasks in one of the hardest-working rooms in the home.

A kitchen isn’t just a place to cook.
It’s where you prep meals, store ingredients, gather with family, wash, organize, and often start and end your day. With all of this in mind, a designer must pause, step back, and take in the full picture to define how the space can genuinely support the client’s lifestyle.

For this presentation, we brought all of those considerations together—and we elevated the experience with a first-hand VR walk-through, allowing our client to “step into” their future kitchen long before a single cabinet is built.

Have you ever experienced a virtual walk-through of a design? It changes everything. ✨

There’s something magical that happens when a space is designed to be felt as much as it is seen.
In this latest project, every surface tells a story — from the lush rug underfoot to the sculptural petrified-wood side tables, the tactile textured fireplace cladding, and a wallpaper you can almost sink your hands into.
We continued the sensory experience with custom cabinetry with wrapped doors in recycled leather veneer embossed in a crocodile pattern... a subtle detail, but one that elevates the entire room.
This is the beauty of thoughtful design: materials that speak, textures that invite, and a space that feels intentionally crafted in every direction.
