Porcelain or ceramic—which one should you choose?
The short answer: porcelain is actually a type of ceramic tile. It’s denser and absorbs less water, which is why I usually look at it first for floors, bathrooms, busy areas, and some outdoor spaces.
Ceramic can be a smart choice for walls, backsplashes, and other lighter-use spaces.
My advice? Choose tile for the room—not just the name.
