Our policy is to not alarm our clients about potential mold problems. DMI will determine if you have a problem, identify the root cause, and will provide a roadmap on how to resolve it. Inspection & Mold Testing

Moisture meter surveys for elevated moisture content


Humidity and temperature surveys


● Samples collected and cultured for fungal analysis.

3 Air Samples (2 inside & 1 outside for comparison) or


Direct sample using bio-slide, swab or bulk methods


Additional air samples as needed or requested by client


● Samples sent overnight to our preferred lab, Environmental Microbiology Laboratory, EMSL & EMLab is recognized as one of the leading commercial indoor air quality testing laboratories North America with over 30 years’ experience in mold testing and bio-aerosol analysis.

● DMI report containing inspection results, analysis of EMLab/EMSL report and recommendations.

● Post-remediation clearance testing after cleanup. Includes inspection of remediation area and air sampling to determine if cleanup successful. DMI does not perform remediation/clean-up of mold contamination. It is our policy to have no financial interest in the discovery of mold or the results of any remediation. DMI only interest is helping our clients resolve indoor air quality concerns. Clearance testing or post-remediation testing is performed after work has been completed to remove any mold contamination. Clearance testing consists of a visual inspection of any area remediated as well as taking air samples. In the event the air samples indicate the remediation was unsuccessful, it will be necessary to consult with the remediator as to possible causes noted during the visual inspection. The remediator will need to perform additional cleaning, if the air samples indicate a problem. It is important to confirm remediation was done properly and the project contained so as not to impact other areas of the residence. If a real estate transaction is involved, the buyer and seller will want documentation that the mold problem has been resolved
