WEDNESDAY DESIGN DIARIES ✨

Some of my best ideas happen in the middle of the beautiful chaos—plans spread across the table, materials everywhere, coffee close by, and my most loyal design assistant right beside me. 🐾

Because great spaces aren’t created by drawings alone.
They’re created with vision, intention, emotion, and a little bit of joy.

And honestly… every Creative Director needs an assistant who never questions the concept. 😂🐶

Design the space. Design the feeling. Design the life.

🚨 WHO APPROVED THIS FLOOR PLAN?!

…Oh. I did.

Never mind. 🐶

Tuesday priorities:

📐 Review the floor plan
🐾 Patrol the office for unauthorized furniture
👃 Sniff-test all new materials
🪑 Claim the best chair
💻 Sit on someone’s keyboard during a deadline
🦴 Approve the treat budget

FF&E review:

Too beige.

Client comments:

Too many.

Someone said, “Dobby, get off my desk.”

I’m the Design Director. This is my desk now.

And finally…

NO ONE TOUCHES MY CHAIR.

HARMONY IS ALSO A DESIGN ELEMENT.

Great design isn’t only about what we see.
It’s about how a space makes us feel.

Light, color, texture, proportion, acoustics, circulation — and the relationship between all of them — can create a sense of balance, calm, energy, or connection.

As interior designers, we are not simply selecting beautiful finishes and furniture. We are creating environments that influence the way people live, work, connect, and feel every day.

A successful space should be beautiful, functional, and intentional — but it should also feel harmonious.

Because when everything works together, we don’t just see good design.

We feel it.

DAY 2 AS DESIGN DIRECTOR 🐾

“Arrived at the office looking professional… obviously. 🎀
Reviewed the plans. Made some executive decisions.
Rejected a few samples. No explanation necessary. 😂
Then I realized leadership is exhausting…

So I took lunch. 🍽️

Productivity: 10/10
Treats: 10/10
Actual work: classified. 🐾

See you tomorrow.

POV: Dobby got his first interior design job. 🐾

He arrived late with a briefcase full of treats—but he’s too cute to fire. After reviewing one project, he promoted himself to Design Director.

WOOF! 🤎🏡

How do you know you’re a great leader?

Not because people follow your instructions—but because your example inspires them to take action.

True leadership is demonstrated through consistency, integrity, patience, and purpose. People watch what we do far more closely than they listen to what we say.

Lead with intention. Lead by example. Inspire others to become their best. ✨

Site visit and we’re almost there…
The space is ready. Now we wait for the furniture to bring the vision to life. ✨
The final layer is always the most exciting.
