Can we talk about the Miami white epidemic for a second? I get it! White feels safe, clean, neutral. But harsh white can actually work against a space, flattening it instead of elevating it.

If you're refreshing your home and craving something neutral that still has life to it, the answer is in the rug. The right neutral rug adds dimension, warmth, and personality without ever feeling loud. Here are some of my favorites from Anthropologie that prove neutral doesn't have to mean boring.

Nothing could have prepared me for shopping in Japan. The sheer number of shops, the size of the malls, the way every single store pulls you in. It's a lot, in the most beautiful way. Interior design tip of the day — real estate edition. After 13 years of investing in properties and designing them as Airbnbs, there's one piece of advice I come back to again and again: buy the smallest property in the best location. Every time. Location is the one thing you can never redesign. It holds value, attracts guests, and grows your investment in ways that square footage simply can't. Start there, and let the design do the rest.
