A very South Florida summer plant list going into this garden today. Including some tropical leafy greens like cranberry hibiscus and Malabar spinach. If you are curious to learn more about these plants, check out the plant index on our website. The plant index is probably one of the coolest resources we have to share and it’s always live and free on our website.

A dreamy family garden designed and built as a major focal point in this home. Its front and center location between kitchen, living area and pool guarantees a lot of interaction and full appreciation at every stage of growth. From day one, the family has been involved with planting. Now, 7 months later, as we approach the conclusion of its first growing season, this garden is putting on a show of coreopsis and celosia blooms, giant leeks, gem lettuces, bright green basil and fragrant herbs.

First 3 photographs by were taken in April, the others are from installation day back in October ✨

This garden is special for us because it is Muriel’s home base. It’s a place for experimenting, indulging and playing. Our most recent adventure here is the addition of a chicken coop we designed with and built with 🐓 We’re approaching the end of the of the growing season soon, pulling up some beautiful crops like leeks, french carrots and the last batch of cherry tomatoes and shish*to peppers. Add daily eggs to that list.

This garden was built for a big family that pays close attention to the food they consume. Where it comes from, who prepares it, what was sprayed on it (or better yet what was not sprayed on it). We’ve dialed this one in and the result has been bountiful and impressive, even for us! Making the journey to Fischer Island every week and working closely with the house chef has been fun. We’re wrapping up season two with this client soon.

Those of you who have been around since the very beginning may remember that Tiffany made a book about Foraging for tropical treats in Miami like 11 years ago, published by . It sold out super quick and since then it’s been out of print and highly sought after. Well, it’s been revised and reissued! Forager is back and better than ever with a new introduction, new plants and new photos too. You will not believe how much this garden has grown. It has been exactly one month since we finished building this enclosed garden (to protect crops from iguanas) and planted all of these baby starter plants. The cucumbers are through the roof, literally. Greens are so big and full that they overlap and completely cover every inch of the planters. Bush beans, planted from seed 4 weeks ago, are filled out and flowering. Tomatoes are ripening. It’s crazy! So much abundance and so much vibe created with the help of and

In gardening there are always some successes and some failures. The garden at is a success story overall. Our working relationship with local philanthropist is a success. Her experiment with growing these Tetra Squash was a success! She’s harvesting an abundance of food and bringing it to the school kitchen where they are now able to incorporate it into student meals. Major success!

Planning a vegetable garden is our cup of tea! It’s part science, part design. It requires experience and intuition. You gotta love plants and food and cooking and flowers. Seasonal cycles and natural processes rule this world. We’re here to do a little curating, some documenting and a lot of harvesting!

Sometimes a client challenges us, in a good way. They ask us to try new things, and by doing so they are essentially giving us an opportunity. An opportunity to learn and experiment.

This roof top garden on Di Lido island is one we’ve been navigating since 2019. The client is an enthusiastic seed collector, always looking for both ancient heirloom varieties as well as new cutting edge hybrids. They challenge us to grow them and we happy accept. The results have been very exciting (even though sometimes there is a flop).

A chefs garden on a South Beach roof 🌱

Our teams many years of farming experience are put to use at every garden project we take on. Many times a kitchen garden has limited space and has to be meticulously designed and managed to produce abundant harvests throughout the main growing season. Our passion is creating these bright and diverse plant palettes that inspire sharing joyful meals! It’s part gardening and part art, it’s collaborating with people and nature.

The edges of the space were planted with a border of perennial food forest specimens like moringa & lemongrass and the center of the space was divided into long raised beds for the cultivation of annual veggies & herbs. The focus was on fresh greens like kale, spigariello & dandelion, specialty vegetables like purple torpedo onions & avocado squash, edible flowers like pansies & nasturtiums and garnish like red veined sorrel and bronze fennel.

This project was so fun because it was a complete backyard transformation for the sweetest family. They wanted to turn their plain lawn into a dynamic natural space they could enjoy together.

We worked with landscape designer to create a unique garden space that invites exploration, gathering, relaxation and play. The whole process, from concept to installation has been such a joy. We found a balance between edible plants and native plants to create a landscape that provides harvesting opportunities as well as natural displays of flowers and wildlife year round. Curved planting areas were used to break up the small rectangular yard into a space that encourages slowing down with a “stop and smell the flowers” vibe.
