Earlier this month, broke the world record for the largest dog pool party at Chewy Bark Park in Coral Gables. Our studio is proud to have led the landscape architectural design for the park, and we’re so happy to see the space brought to life and enjoyed by the community and their canine friends.

We had the pleasure of welcoming a Dutch resiliency delegation to Bayshore Park, hosted by Kelly and Patricia of the SMDS team, bringing together leaders in climate adaptation, public works, and coastal research.

The group included Robert Proos (Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate), Dirk-Jan Walstra (Director, Deltares), Johan Verlinde (Program Manager, Rotterdam Climate Adaptation Plan), Joop Polfliet (Director of Public Works, Municipality of Rotterdam), Carolien Kraan (Senior Scientist, Deltares), and Lauren Schambach (Coastal Scientist, Deltares USA).

Bayshore Park serves as a model for how public space can function as resilient infrastructure, adapting to the realities of rising seas. The park establishes an 85-acre watershed that captures and filters runoff from the surrounding neighborhood, treating stormwater on site and reducing pollutant loads before discharge to Biscayne Bay.

Bayshore Park is featured in The Guardian’s “Design a Better World,” highlighting its role as resilient infrastructure shaped through landscape architecture.

Developed in partnership with the City of Miami Beach, the project reimagines a former golf course as a public park that manages stormwater, restores ecological systems, and supports everyday use.

Zoo Miami broke ground this past Friday on their new state-of-the-art Animal Hospital. Our studio is honored to provide landscape architecture for a project centered on animal care, education, and the future of the zoo community. With planting inspired by the endangered pine rockland habitat adjacent to the site, the design also features a native medicinal garden and tropical hammock plaza to support learning and awareness.
