Bay House Miami Residences 🌴
We transformed the arrival experience at Bay House Miami by rethinking the landscape as architecture. The wind-facing entrance needed structure, resilience, and beauty, so we curated a palette of sculptural, wind-tolerant species including bromeliads, sagos, and coastal natives. The goal: lush, modern, and intentionally minimal.

A refreshed landscape that celebrates form, movement, and Miami’s tropical environment.

Bay House Miami Residences — Landscape Redevelopment 🌳

This project was about more than adding plants, it was about reimagining how residents and guests arrive. We used native and tropical species selected for wind resistance and architectural presence, layering textures and sculptural forms to create a refined yet resilient landscape. Bromeliads, sagos, and coastal natives anchor the entrance with structure, while strategic lighting and updated irrigation ensure long-term sustainability.

A modern Miami landscape, resilient, intentional, and rooted in place.

PLANT SPOTLIGHT: Monstera deliciosa (Monstera deliciosa)

Design Value:Large, dramatic split leaves that instantly create a lush “tropical-modern” atmosphere.

Why We Use It in South Florida:– Thrives in bright shade and humid climates– Low maintenance and fast growing– Softens architecture and fills vertical space beautifully

Where It Works Best:Shaded entrances, courtyards, along walls or fences, and as a backdrop plant layered behind lower groundcovers.

Inspiration — Pacific Northwest Landscapes 🌺

The Pacific Northwest feels like a garden painted by nature itself, misty mornings, filtered light, and layers upon layers of color. Here, hydrangeas, peonies, and heirloom roses thrive in the cool climate, creating soft, romantic palettes that shift with the seasons. Ferns, mosses, and evergreens build structure beneath towering cedars and maples, while climbing roses wrap around fences and trellises like living art. The landscapes here aren’t rushed; they grow into themselves slowly, lush, wild, and effortlessly poetic. A reminder that gardens can be both intentional and untamed, where every path leads to something quietly beautiful.

Avalina Assisted Living Facility — Landscape Redevelopment 🌱

What was once a commercial park is now a welcoming 11-acre assisted living campus, transformed through native trees, fresh sod, and thoughtful landscape design. We used soft, textural plantings to frame entrances, guide circulation, and soften the building edges — creating a calming, walkable environment for residents, visitors, and staff. A landscape designed for comfort, shade, and long-term resilience.

Inspiration — Rio de Janeiro, Brazil 🇧🇷

Rio is where the jungle meets the ocean and the city grows around the landscape rather than over it. Tropical gardens spill down mountainsides, anchored by palms, heliconias, and dramatic philodendrons that seem to grow effortlessly out of stone. Vines wrap around balconies, bougainvillea pours over walls, and textures collide, glossy leaves, sculptural trunks, bursts of color. It’s bold and unapologetically wild, yet somehow refined, a style shaped by the legacy of Brazilian modernist landscape design. In Rio, plants aren’t accessories, they are the architecture. Lush. Expressive. Alive.

Restaurant Plant Styling — Bagatelle & Maty’s 🪴

Strategic planting can completely shift the energy of a space. At Bagatelle Miami Beach and Maty’s in Midtown, we introduced curated planters with bold textures, architectural forms, and layered greenery to soften hardscapes and create an inviting arrival experience. Thoughtfully placed pots guide guests through the space, enhance ambiance, and add natural warmth — transforming entryways and dining areas into places where people instantly want to linger.
