It's a winter wonderland here so there's hot tea and hot cocoa to warm up, but also consuming plenty of vitamin rich food and drinks to boost our immunity and overall health too. So, we juiced a dozen lemons! We made some lemonade and decided to dehydrate the peels so they didn't go to waste. We got plenty to keep some larger bits for teas and ground the rest up for use over time. Our first time using the whole lemons and it was fun and simple!

I work with some folks who have been encouraging me to cook sticky rice in the banana leaves so maybe that will be the next attempt...here is the first time I have cut some leaves from both the Cavendish & Blue Java Bananas to use for dinner 😁 Pictured is Mahi Mahi but we also had flounder, both steamed in leaves with lemons, tarragon, garlic, salt, and pepper.
I love all the meals we've discovered from the food we have in our home and backyard, even things I didn't think I liked (beets lol) I have found ways to cook and enjoy!
