A fresh edge, shrub pruning, perennial thinning, new plantings, and 7 yards of fresh mulch rounded out this project. The falling water was a soothing addition to our time here. The new flowers complement the existing plants with an array of colors that will last into Summer.

Peep the Dapple Willow we added by the Weeping Cherry. These Willows are becoming a bit of a Royer Gardening signature. ✨

The rain couldn’t keep us down!

After the existing black mulch was showing too much of the debris from the large Oak trees above, this client asked to switch to brown. What a great choice!

We added additional perennials, shrubs, and Flame Thrower Redbud to provide a POP of color. A full lawn aeration and overseed rounded out this Spring’s work on this property.

We cannot wait to see it all grow this season!

Did you know that ants will farm a common garden pest for their waste product?

As aphids suck nutrients from your plants, their bodies extract what they need and pass along the rest. The rest just so happens to be a sticky substance that is high in sugar. Commonly known as honey dew - the sweet substance is gobbled up by the ants who in return protect the aphids from predators.

In low numbers these pests are a part of nature, but when they get out of hand it can be a sticky situation.
