he James L. And there's lots more going on behind the scenes! As part of the Maher Center's Opportunity Zone initiative, our Garden Center provides individual, one-on-one training to prepare people for jobs in horticulture. And so many wonderful friends - including volunteers from the URI Master Gardener Program - partner with our participants and staff to grow vegetables and flowers in our greenhouses, complementing garden projects at our ten supportive residences. Look for our "open" flag flying high on Aquidneck Avenue, and come join our Garden Center community!
