This is a floor we had the pleasure of installing and finishing. It is a little over 2200 square ft. of 7" wide Riffed and Quarter sawn white oak floor and stairs. We also installed modern register vents by Fitts. It turned out beautiful and the owners loved it.

Bringing this old heart pine floor back to life. Floor was showing its age with yellowing, cupping, and worn through spots. We did a lot of sanding to get it back to life. Heart pine is tough to sand as it gum's up paper quick due to the sap still in it. Seams to stay in the wood forever. On a normal oak, maple or hickory floor this size we would use one maybe two belts, and 40 to 50 sanding discs. As you can see from the last picture, we went through five belts and 270 discs.

Another floor and stairway transformation. When she bought the house the previous owner had installed three different kinds & colors of wood. They also built stair rails & posts with 2 x 4s and carpeted the treads and risers. We sanded all the floors and finished them the same color and then rebuilt the entire staircase.

This is a mantel that wraps around a fireplace I built 15+ years ago. The 10" crown molding was $125.00 LNF at that time. Tedious work trying to make the corners all line up and match as they wrapped around. I think I spent a full day just making templates before I even tried to cut the crown. At that kind of cost, you don't buy extra material just in case you make a mistake. The first cut and every cut have to be perfect every time.

This floor had cork glued over a Douglas fir wood floor that the customer wanted restored to the original and add a medallion in the middle. We used a power scraper to remove the cork and mastic, then sanded the floor to clean it up. Cut in the medallion and finished the floor.

This is a maple floor with a double oak border we sanded and finished several years ago. The original owner had us stain the borders green and burgundy. After they sold the house, the new owners had us come back in and refinish the floors and leave the boarders natural.
