Interior design doesn’t stop at home. 👏

For West Texas Mahjong, we took an existing commercial space and completely reworked it to create a place for gathering, playing, shopping, and of course… Mahjong. 🀄️

But getting there meant a lot more than choosing the pretty things. We removed walls, added a restroom, reworked the layout, and navigated city requirements and fire codes—all to create a space that works just as beautifully behind the scenes as it does when you walk through the door.

Residential or commercial, good design is about so much more than how a space looks. It’s about making it work for the people who use it.

And this one was SO much fun to bring to life. 💗

Your dream Mahjong spot called… and she’s VERY into pink 🀄️💗

Bold wallpaper, colorful tables, statement lighting, a pop of navy, and plenty of personality make every corner worth looking at twice.

West Texas Mahjong was designed to be just as fun as the game itself. A place to play, shop, gather, and maybe get a little competitive with your friends😉

Because if you’re going to play Mahjong, you might as well do it somewhere this cute.

Proof that the most functional rooms can still have a little drama. ✨

This laundry room transformation is all about making the everyday feel a little more special. Toe-kick lighting creates a soft ambient glow and highlights that gorgeous patterned floor, while the custom dog feeding station makes daily life a whole lot easier. 🐾

The entire feeding station pulls out for easy cleaning, with running water and an automatic refill to keep the water bowl filled.

Pattern, color, lighting, and thoughtful details turned a hardworking space into one we wouldn’t mind spending a little extra time in.

Who says practical can’t be beautiful?

Privacy without sacrificing the natural light. 👏

Bathroom windows can be tricky, but you want all that beautiful light pouring in, without giving up privacy.

For this bathroom, we incorporated switchable privacy glass that transitions from completely clear to frosted with the touch of a button. Even when frosted, the natural light still filters through. ✨

No blinds. No curtains. No sacrificing the view or the light. Just a smart design detail that gives you the best of both.

The magic is in the mix ✨

A before + after that completely reimagined this bathroom.

By removing the existing walled shower, we were able to transform an underused area into a true focal point creating a dedicated tub space that feels intentional, layered, and full of personality.

The floral wallpaper brings pattern and color, while the marble surround adds movement and the fluted freestanding tub introduces another beautiful layer of texture. Then we added the jewelry, a statement chandelier and warm metal fixtures to finish it all off.

There’s a lot happening here, but nothing is competing. Every pattern, texture, and finish was chosen to complement the next and the difference from where we started is pretty incredible. 🤍

Storage, storage, and more storage 👏

It’s one of the most important things we consider when designing a home, especially a kitchen. And when we’re working with an oversized island, there’s no reason to let valuable space go unused.

On this island, we added cabinetry to the seating side, tucked underneath the countertop where you’d hardly even know it was there. It’s the perfect spot for those items you want nearby but don’t necessarily reach for every day.

Sometimes the smartest design details are the ones hiding in plain sight. 😉

Warm tones, layered just right 🤎

Taj Mahal countertops, natural white oak, cream finishes, and gold accents all work together to give this kitchen warmth without making it feel heavy.

That’s the beauty of a warm palette. It doesn’t have to mean dark or overly traditional. With the right combination of materials, it can feel light, elevated, and completely timeless.

A little sparkle never hurt anybody. ✨

This three-tier chandelier brings just the right amount of glamour to this space, especially with all the warm wood tones, collected pieces, and natural textures throughout.

We love how this home tells both of their stories. Her love for a little sparkle and elevated design, and his passion for hunting, with mounts thoughtfully worked in so everything feels cohesive and personal.

And the custom bar + extra storage might be one of our favorite parts. We added dark cabinetry to carve out a dedicated entertaining space while giving them way more functional storage.

Kitchen design is in the details and this is one of my favorite practical ones.

A stainless steel-lined vegetable drawer gives produce like potatoes and onions a dedicated place to live outside the refrigerator, while protecting the cabinetry from dirt, moisture, spills and the occasional forgotten vegetable. 😅

And when it gets messy? Pull it out, wipe it down or give it a good wash, and it’s ready to go again.

The best kitchens aren’t just beautiful. They’re designed to make everyday life better.
