This National Public Works Week, we are proud to recognize the Public Works professionals who help keep communities across Tennessee moving.

Last month, we had the opportunity to meet with Tennessee Governor Bill Lee in recognition of National Public Works Week and the vital role Public Works professionals play across our state. From maintaining roads and infrastructure to supporting the everyday services communities rely on, their work is felt by all of us.

At Pavement Restorations, Inc., we are grateful to work alongside Public Works teams across Tennessee and support the work they do to build, maintain, and improve the places we call home.

Pavement Restorations was proud to take part in Smith County Career & Technical Education’s Dream, Discover, & Do Day.

The event gave middle school students the opportunity to explore different career pathways and learn more about the industries that help keep our communities moving.

A special thank you to our friends at Astec for providing VR headsets for the event. Students were able to virtually walk through an asphalt plant and see how the material we drive on every day is made.

We’re grateful for the chance to connect with students and help introduce the next generation to careers in our industry.

Our crew recently poured a footer for a guardrail barrier on State Route 386 in Sumner County for RoadSafe Traffic Systems.

This type of work plays an important role in supporting roadway safety and helping protect drivers along heavily traveled routes.

The other night, our Smyrna plant was rocking and rolling, producing mix for a night paving job on I-24 in Rutherford County, just outside of Nashville.

Night work takes coordination from every part of the team, from the plant to the paving crew, to keep the job moving safely and efficiently.

We were honored to be part of “An Evening of Impact” and grateful to have our very own Jon Hargett host the evening. It was great spending time with our PRI crew, local leaders, and so many familiar faces.

Nights like this show what makes Milan special. Strong people and strong relationships.
