It's getting to be that time of year! Seeds have been ordered, some have come in and we will start planting them soon. We have a couple of new varieties for this year: Cabbage(Premium Late Flat Dutch), Tomatoes(Chocolate Sprinkles and Big Mama Hybrid Roma), and Pepper(Yummy Mix Hybrid). We have 16 varieties of peppers and 36 varieties of tomatoes this year. We are excited about this upcoming gardening year! Call (812)654-1907 for more information. The Humble Gardener Greenhouse and Nursery got benches made this week for more growing space. That is now about 80 feet of grow space, plus all the benches now are two trays deep. The tomatoes are growing fast; we need some sunshine and a warm breeze to dry out the gardens. Come see us for a wide variety of tomatoes, peppers, squash and perennials. We also have a few annuals available.

Some of the tomatoes in The Humble Gardener Greenhouse and Nursery. They are starting to get bigger! We need some sunshine and warm temperatures so we can get our gardens started. This year wasn't a good year for our peppers, we had to go to plan B. We have the squash planted in the house this year. If you remember what happened last year, you know that the chipmunk dug out the seeds almost as fast as I could get them planted. I had to plant the butternut squash four times. We are looking forward to our seventh year, we are so excited!
