Another successful lawn installation on a new build house. This property started out with nothing but rutted up fill dirt. Last Fall we re-graded, added new topsoil, seeded, and within a couple weeks we had a great looking lawn!

Before and after of a lawn renovation at a new build property. The builders left a mess of hard rutted clay fill, cheap weedy grass, and drainage issues that left the front yard looking like a lakefront for weeks after rainfall. We installed drainage running under the driveway into the woodline, installed an economical gravel walkway, graded the existing fill, installed a layer of nutrient rich topsoil, and finished it off with a top quality turf type tall fescue grass seed.

Before and after pictures of one of our last projects for the 2022 season. Our client reached out to us in need of a low maintenance, eco-friendly landscape design.

The yard of this new construction house was roughly graded with cheap clay fill. It was deeply rutted and super compacted, only allowing sparse grass and weeds to grow. We were able to turn over and re-grade the original fill and add in a fresh layer of organic topsoil. The customer wanted a more eco-friendly lawn and opted to have us mix some micro clovers into the seed mix because of the clover's ability to add nitrogen into the soil, as well as helping the root system of the lawn to absorb and maintain moisture. This will allow him to have a lush green lawn without the need of fertilizer or excess watering. The preliminary Fall growth looked great (sorry no pictures) and I can't wait to see what things will look like after the Spring growth. I'll be sure to post an update soon.

We were also able to install an awesome river rock garden bed for this customer. We installed some foundation plantings along the front of his house, opting to use larger river rounds as a border instead of the standard plastic edging. We were also able to spruce up the triangular alcove between his house and the walkway using some foundation plantings along the deck and the house, with some smaller accent plantings throughout the rest of the bed.
