🔐I’m constantly reminded on a daily basis that no one really wants to to take the time to help anyone anymore. It’s just the world we live in now and it’s a shame. I even asked myself in the end “Why did you even call?” So one of my customers had an issue with their vehicle (2018 GMC Savanna Van) starting after replacing the vehicles battery. The key would no longer start the vehicle and the anti-theft light was on solid. After diagnosis I found the ignition transceiver (IMMO) had no signal. I checked all the fuses under the hood with no luck. So I called a dealership (not going to mention which one), spoke to someone in service and asked if they knew what fuse was for the immobilizer unit. The guy I spoke to on the phone told me, and I quote, “I have no idea, just Google it”. Well I Googled it and got the same results…nothing!! I finally located a fuse box under the drivers seat and the 2 amp fuse for the immobilizer unit was blown. I replaced the fuse and my customer is back in business. I cannot tell you how rewarding my job is everyday that I get to help someone. I don’t easily give up without a fight and if I don’t have the answer I will find someone that does. I can ensure you one thing and that is you will never hear anyone from ATC Lock & Key tell a customer to just “Google it”.
